She Can Fix That is a 100% woman-owned business — and She Can Fix That Academy™, our apprentice program, is one of the clearest expressions of what we're about: opening doors for more women+ in the trades. We're building a team of skilled handywomen+ who want to grow a career in the trades, close to home. It's a paid, hands-on training path for women+ who want real skills, real income, and a place they want to stay.

How It Works

Apprentices train alongside experienced handywomen and trusted mentors, building real skills step by step. As they grow more confident, they take on more responsibility — working toward handling jobs on their own, always with support close by.

We believe a career in the trades should fit your life, not the other way around. As apprentices grow into the program, we work to match them with clients near their own home area — because being close to home is part of what makes this work sustainable long-term.

Why We Do This

We're not just training apprentices to keep them around for a season. Our goal is to build a company handywomen want to stay at for years — a place with fair pay, real mentorship, and a genuine path forward in the skilled trades. Along the way, apprentices learn to take ownership of their work and to treat every client and home with genuine care and respect — two of the most important things we can teach.
